Welcome to Kindergarten

Welcome to Kindergarten! I hope this summer has brought you much joy and that you are eagerly looking forward to the 2014-2015 school year. As many of you know this is my third year at Camden Station and my eighth year teaching. I am anticipating a wonderful year filled with smiles, laughter, and lots of learning.

Our class motto for this year is from the magnificent Dr. Seuss; “Today is your day, it is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you!” Simply stated, I believe that every student is amazing. As the teacher I will make it my priority to get to know your student and develop a teaching plan to best facilitate his/her individual learning needs. Children are truly remarkable and have the uncanny ability to teach adults by their words and actions, sometimes when least expected. Let’s begin this year as life-long learners together. Yes, your students will be learning, but let’s remember that we are still learning as well.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the Open House on August 18th. Please go to room 207, where I will be anxiously awaiting the arrival of you and your student, whether that means re-uniting or meeting for the first time!
